So this week’s theme was new/beginnings. I had to chuckle to myself just a bit b/c this week for me is all about the old/past. This week the kids and I are in Memphis for our winter break visiting our old friends, old home, old stomping ground. I guess old isn’t the best way to describe it, other than in context of time. These are still very much our best friends, this is still very much home. I love and hate coming back. I love that we we pick right back up where we left off 10 months ago. I love seeing and spending time with the people that are so dear to us. I love visiting my target, my starbucks, my favorite clothing stores. I hate that we have to leave all over again. California is great, don’t get me wrong-30 mins. from the beach, 76 degree weather, tons of stuff do and places to see. But home is where your heart is and my heart is definitely still in Memphis. So I cherish every moment I get with all the people I love and enjoy watching my kids fall back into their old selves and know in my heart that California and all it’s goodness is part of God’s plan for me and my family.
